Hi! Dr. Janea Wright - nice to meet you!
................
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I help women have more energy, stabilize moods, balance hormones and improve digestive and gut health through the use of naturopathic medicine and acupuncture so they can enjoy more time and activities with their families, feel more confident, and feel like themselves again. I am passionate about wellness and finding the root cause to your concerns to get you back to feeling your best.
More about me...
I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with the Saskatchewan Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. I am currently practicing in Saskatoon Saskatchewan at Origin Chiropractic and Wellness. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the U of S. My 4-year, full-time medical training was completed at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, BC.
I gave birth to my first son just a week after I graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, writing national and provincial board exams to become a licensed Naturopathic Doctor just three weeks later. For the next five years, our family of three moved around the world—including Russia, Kazakhstan, and Sweden—before moving back home to Saskatoon, my hometown, where our second son was born.
During my time abroad, I focused on expanding my knowledge about gut health, mental health, and hormone health, both from personal experience and continuing medical education. Combining my love for medicine with my journey as a mother and the ups and downs that has brought to my mental and physical health has prepared me to work carefully and compassionately with other women who are seeking holistic medical care for themselves.
Mamas.
I hear you, I see you, I am you.
As a mom of two young boys I understand the ups and downs that motherhood brings. I understand the emotional rollercoaster, the sleepless nights, the pure exhaustion and that feeling of not knowing who you even are anymore. You are not alone being a mom is HARD and BEAUTIFUL at the same time! Taking care of YOUR health is not only important for you but for your entire family- if your cup is empty it will be hard to fill everyone else up.
Maternal health needs to be prioritized! There is a myriad of changes going on in our bodies during pregnancy birth and postpartum- hormone changes, nutrient changes, mental and emotional shifts, and changes to our physical body, which means a holistic approach is going to be most beneficial for optimizing maternal health. If you are ready to be getting more restful sleeps, improve your mood, feel more calm and have more energy to run around and play with your littles, I'm here to help you in your journey!
