Let's Kick the Sick!Â
As a parent myself I know the struggles of the back to school fall cold and flu season. Your kids go to school or daycare and they bring home sickness to the whole family including mom and dad, who sometimes seem to get it worse than the kids themselves; if you’ve been there you know exactly what I mean!
You may or may not know that kids going through acute sickness is actually part of nature’s plan. It is important for kids to get sick in order to stimulate and strengthen their immune system which is a key part of development. Getting sick becomes a problem when kids are getting sick every couple of weeks, no one is getting any sleep, the colds are turning into bronchitis, pneumonia, ear infections, and the list goes on. So although it is normal and natural to get sick occasionally the goal is to optimize immune function so that we can get sick a little less, and recover more quickly when we do.
That's why I created this program to share my knowledge with families and help them Kick the Sick!
Uncover the Pillars of Strong Immunity!
I am excited to introduce, Kick the Sick - an immunity support course for parents & children. Every year at this time I can feel the stress from parents and I am so happy to be able to offer some support through this in depth education about the immune system and how to support this complex system. This course is designed to educate parents on how to best support their own immunity and their kids' immunity so that the whole family can be better off during this season and all year long.Â
Our immune systems are amazing and oh so complex. Every day we come across many different pathogens that could potentially infect us, but we do not get sick every day! There are multiple layers to our immune system, portions of our system that are dedicated first line responders that fight off infection without us even knowing we have come across something. Second line responders that start to fight the minute we are infected, and more responders that can make lasting memory cells while fighting off infections so that we can fight them faster the next time we see them. It is truly fascinating!
Topics include:
- The immune system and how it works
- Nutrition and its role in building a strong immune system
- Gut health and its role in immunity
- Exercise and the immune system
- Stress management and mindset and how this impacts immunity
- Optimizing sleep for strong immunity
- How the environment can impact immunity

Are you ready to take charge of your family's immune health?
